John to the seven churches which are in Asia:Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; andfrom the seven Spirits which are before his throne; and from Jesus Christ, who is thefaithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings ofthe earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hathmade us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and theyalso which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Evenso, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the ending, saith the Lord, which is,and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. I John, who also am your brother, and companionin tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is calledPatmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on theLord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the sevenchurches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and untoThyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And I turned to see thevoice that spake with me. And being turned,
I saw seven golden candlesticks; and in themidst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garmentdown to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairswere white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; andhis feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as thesound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth wenta sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me,saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and
the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead;and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, andthe things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; the mystery of the sevenstars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The sevenstars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawestare the seven churches. Chapter 2 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven
stars in his right hand, who walketh in themidst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say theyare apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: and hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhatagainst thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thouart fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, andwill remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. But this thou hast, thatthou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans,

The Gospel According To John. 1 In the beginning was the Word, and theWord was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God.3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him mightbelieve.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent tobear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lightethevery man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world wasmade by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own receivedhim not. 12 But as many as received him, to themgave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will ofman, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dweltamong us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory
as of the only begotten of the Father,) fullof grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: forhe was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but graceand truth came by Jesus Christ. 18 No man hath seen God at any time; theonly begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.19 And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalemto ask him, Who art thoué
20 And he confessed, and denied not; butconfessed, I am not the Christ. 21 And they asked him, What thené Art thouEliasé And he saith, I am not. Art thou that propheté And he answered, No.22 Then said they unto him, Who art thoué that we may give an answer to them that sentus. What sayest thou of thyselfé 23 He said, I am the voice of one cryingin the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.24 And they which were sent were of the Pharisees.25 And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not thatChrist, nor Elias, neither that propheté
26 John answered them, saying, I baptizewith water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not;27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthyto unloose. 28 These things were done in Bethabara beyondJordan, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day John seeth Jesus comingunto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for hewas before me. 31 And I knew him not: but that he shouldbe made manifest to Israel, therefore am I
come baptizing with water.32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sentme to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!37 And the two disciples heard him speak,
