The Revelation of St. John the Divine Chapter 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which Godgave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sentand signified it by his angel unto his servant John: who bare record of the word of God,and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. Blessed is hethat readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things whichare written therein: for the time is at hand.

John to the seven churches which are in Asia:Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; andfrom the seven Spirits which are before his throne; and from Jesus Christ, who is thefaithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings ofthe earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hathmade us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and theyalso which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Evenso, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning

and the ending, saith the Lord, which is,and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. I John, who also am your brother, and companionin tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is calledPatmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on theLord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the sevenchurches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and untoThyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. And I turned to see thevoice that spake with me. And being turned,

I saw seven golden candlesticks; and in themidst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garmentdown to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairswere white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; andhis feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as thesound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth wenta sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me,saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and

the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead;and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, andthe things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; the mystery of the sevenstars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The sevenstars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawestare the seven churches. Chapter 2 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven

stars in his right hand, who walketh in themidst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say theyare apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: and hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhatagainst thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thouart fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, andwill remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. But this thou hast, thatthou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans,

Pastor Steven Anderson The Book of Revelation Chapter 10 of 22

Now in Revelation chapter 10, we just finishedup with the events of the fifth and sixth trumpets. And before we get into the seventhtrumpet, God spends some time in chapters 10 and 11 just talking about some things thathave to do with the seventh trumpet, and things that lead up to the seventh trumpet. Lookat chapter 10, verse number one. It says quot; And I saw another mighty angel come down fromheaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as itwere the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: And he had in his hand a little book open:and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, And cried witha loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and

when he had cried, seven thunders utteredtheir voices.quot; So I want you to get the picture here. This mighty angel comes down from heavenclothed with a cloud, rainbow on his head, his face is just bright as the sun, and hecomes and sets one foot on the sea, and his left foot on the earth, and he CRIES witha loud voice as when a lion roareth, quot;and when he had cried, seven thunders utteredtheir voices. And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to writequot;.So these seven thunders that utter their voices, when the angel cries out, they're saying something, they're giving some information. But for some reason, God does not want us to have thatinformation at this time, because he says

to John, actually. I'm sorry the angeltells him. It says he was about to write, but he heard a voice from heaven quot;saying untome, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.quot; So John hearswhat the seven thunders have to say, he goes to write it down, and he is told, quot;Do NOTwrite that down. Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered and write themnot.quot; And this is really interesting, because the book of Revelation is open with us. Andit reveals so much to us, and God gives us so much information that it's strange herethat this is the only place in Revelation where God is withholding some piece of informationfrom us. I'm not sure why it's being withheld.

But something that those seven thunders uttered,is something that we are NOT supposed to know about, and I've often wondered about it andtried to figure it out, but obviously He just doesn't want us to know. We'll find out someday. But it says in verse 5, quot; the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earthlifted up his hand to heavenquot;, the same angel, quot; And sware by him that liveth for ever andever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the thingsthat therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be timeno longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin tosound, the mystery of God should be finished,

as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.quot; Now, this ties in heavily with Daniel 12. And I'm going to take you to Daniel 12 injust a moment. In fact, if you want to turn there, you can because that's where we'regoing in just a moment. But let me say this. Some people have misunderstood this statementin chapter 10 where he swears that there shall be time no longer. Some people have misinterpretedthat to say quot;well, this means that time is going to cease to exist from here on out.quot; That's not what he means at all, because after this point, we still have the millennium,or the thousand year reign of Christ. Well if we have a thousand years, obviously weare measuring time. So time still exists after

the seventh angel sounds the trumpet. Butwhat he is saying is, quot;there shall be time no longer:quot; And then there is a colon there. And then it says quot; But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall beginto sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.quot; And so what he is saying there, is that when the seventh trumpet sounds, the time thatwill be no longer, is there will be no more time remaining, until the mystery of God isfinished. So, when the seventh angel begins to sound the seventh trumpet, the mysteryof God will be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. Now I am goingto get into what that mystery is in a moment.
