The apostle Paul described the MODERN DAYCHRISTIAN to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3: 1 quot;But realize this, that in the last days difficulttimes will come.Â 2For men will be LOVERS OF SELF, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant,revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,Â 3unloving, irreconcilable, maliciousgossips, without selfcontrol, brutal, haters of good,Â 4treacherous, reckless, conceited,lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,Â 5holding to a form of godliness, although they havedenied its power; Avoid such men as these.quot; This is your modern day Christian, this iswhat they are like. They have got no love for God, they love themselves. They are onlyinterested in THEIR SALVATION and in having
a GOOD TIME.The words of Jesus in Luke 12:35 explains those who love HIM and who are pleasing toHim: quot;Be dressed in readiness, andÂ keepÂ your lamps lit.Â 36quot;Be like men who are waitingfor their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediatelyopenÂ the doorÂ to him when he comes and knocks.37quot;Blessed are those slaves whom the master will findon the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himselfÂ to serve,Â andhave them reclineÂ at the table,Â and will come up and wait on them.Â 38quot;Whether he comesin the second watch, or even in the third, and findsÂ themÂ so, blessed are thoseÂ slaves.Â 'quot;But be sure of this, that if the head
