Translation Rapture Part 4 King James Bible Prophecy CC for the Deaf
(Music) Hello folks, this is Pastor Mike Hoggard, pastor of Bethel Church in Festus, Missouri, head of Prophetic Research Ministry with a very special edition of the Watchman Tutorial Broadcast, part 4 and the final one, at least for now on our series of understanding the translation, the rapture, being caught up. The gathering, the Bible uses all of these terms. Well, except the rapture, but the Bible uses all of these terms here to describe this one event.
1 Thessalonians, 4:16, for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, so shall we ever be with the Lord. I am looking forward to this. I hope it happens in my lifetime. I really do. Since a child, learning this doctrine, I have longed for this to happen, believing that
it would happen in my lifetime. Other saints going all the way back to the time of Pentecost, have looked forward to the second coming and the glorious appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, whether he comes in my lifetime, your lifetime, or our posterity's lifetime, he will come again and he will receive us unto him. He's going to gather us together, both the dead and those who alive in Christ in that day. I absolutely love this. I want you to notice something; Matthew, chapter 24, verse 30, we've used this verse
before, then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn. And they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory and he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather together, notice the words here, they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Something that I just noticed, something is jumping out here in this verse. You and I both know that when we hear that trump and our Savior appears in the air, we
go to be with him and meet with him. That's going to be a great time of joy. There is going to be shouting on that day. Just like the shouting when David brought in the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem. They were not shouting because they were angry or they didn't want it, they were shouting for joy. When they laid the foundation of the temple, when the Holy Ghost came in, or excuse me, God came into the temple, they gave a great shout.
The victory of Joshua over Jericho was accompanied by a tremendous shout and I believe that we're going to shout the victory one of these days. A time of wonderful joy. But look here, it says in verse 30 all the tribes of the earth shall mourn when they see the Son of Man coming. Notice the opposite here. So while we are caught up together with the dead in Christ in the clouds, we rejoice and
