End Times Book of Revelations Incredible Predictions or Prophecy Tutorial Sermon
As we look at the apostates, so we went throughall of the seven identifying characteristics. Remember Revelation ,by which we identified the apostate system. Well, it's fascinatingthat in the Book of Revelation in particular that we also findthe identifying characteristics of God's people in the end time. And that's what I want to review with you before we really get into the heart of ourstudy tonight. So God's people in the end time are goingto be noted for, number one, their faith in Jesus Christ. And we would expect that. Jesus is going to
be central.Jesus is going to be foundational to their experience is what we find. And number two, we discover from the word of Godthat is particularly from the Book of Revelation. It is mentioned specifically twicein regards to God's people in the end time. They will keep the Commandments of God.Not just some of them, but by faith through His grace they will seek to keep allten of them, which tells me that they are going to bea Sabbath keeping people. And number three, as we discover last nightin our study
that God's people would emerge in the endtime. Out of that period of persecutionrepresented by the , years, the earth would, help a woman, rememberéAnd they would emerge. They would emerge out of oppressionand persecution in the old world. And they would emerge here in the soil ofthe new world. It would take right here, and that's exactly what we found out as I shared with you,the beginnings of the advent moment, those early Adventists. And it all began in the early th century,
right on time prophetically. And what else did we learned about God's people in the end timeéWe also discover that as they emerge that the Book of Daniel with his prophecieswould be unsealed. And so that's what we would expect thatthey would have a propheticbiblical message. And there will be a worldwide momentbecause the gospel must go to the whole world as a witness through all nations and thenthe end shall come. And so it must be a worldwide moment. And Adventists today are preaching this message and are established in some countries worldwide. That is more than belongs to the United Nations.
And it is a worldwide moment. And again, I would expect that, wouldn't youé It's growing tremendously in places like Africa, even in India, in some parts of the India, Central and South America. And, my friend, America is going to have its day.At some point it's going to happen. I really believe it because I know the prophecyspeak of it. And there's going to be somethingthat's going to disturb, I think our sense of security at some point.I don't know if it's just current situation, I would not presume to make that assumption, but at some point
it's going to be disturbed our sense of security. And then the last thing that we discovered last nightis that they would have the testimony of Jesus. So you got to line this up, if you are reallyinterested in being associated with God's people in theend time, just line it up, starting with Jesus, keeping the commandments et cetera, et cetera. These are the things thatthat ought to be present among God's people. Now as I get into my subject tonight,it is on the subject of prophecy, the prophetic word. And the question is, will there be a reemergence
1 Thessalonians 5 Bible Study on the Tribulation Rapture and End Times
1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse number 1,the Bible reads, quot; But of the times and the seasons brethren, you have no need that Iwrite unto you, for yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thiefin the night.quot; When we look at this verse, it's obvious that we're continuing somethingthat was just being spoken, because it says, quot; But at the times and the seasons brethren, you have no need that I write unto you, quot; and the obvious question is, the times and theseasons of whaté What are we talking abouté If you remember, we just finished up in 1Thessalonians chapter 4 with the run down of Jesus Christ coming in the clouds and allthe believers being caught up together in
the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, whatis commonly known as the rapture. In fact 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 is the most famousrapture passage that people would point to as being they clearest description of thetrumpet sounding, quot; The dead in Christ rise first, and we which are alive and remain shallbe caught up together with them in the clouds.quot; Look at the end of verse 17 there. quot;To meetthe Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one anotherwith these words, but .quot; You see that at the beginning of chapter five. That's whatwe're connected to. quot;Comfort one another with these words, but of the time and the seasonsbrethren, you have no need that I write unto
you.quot; So, the times and the seasons of whaté The times and the seasons of when the rapturewill take place. The times and the seasons of Jesus Christ coming in the clouds and thetrumpet sounding. He says, quot;Of the times and the seasons brethren, you have no need thatI write unto you, for yourself know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thiefof the night.quot; This sentence only makes sense if the day of the Lord and the rapture areboth happening at the same time. If those two things had different timing, then thiswould make absolutely no sense for God to say, quot; Here's what's going to happen at therapture, but of the times and the seasons
brethren, you have no need that in write untoyou, because let me tell you about a totally unrelated event and when it's going to happen.quot; That wouldn't really make any sense, would itéObviously this is a continuation. He describes rapture, and here's the thing. In chapter4, there is no discussion of the timing, because it's all just a discussion of where your departedloved ones are, and how they are going to be brought with Christ, and how we're goingto be caught up together with them. There's no timing given. In Chapter 5, he gets intothe timing and he says, quot; You don't need me to write it to you, because you already knowthe timing.quot; You already know that the day
of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.Verse three, quot; For when .quot; When has to do with the timing, quot;when they shall say peaceand safety then sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail upon a woman with childand they shall not escape, but you brethren are not in darkness that that day should overtakeyou as a thief.quot; So, this day is clearly bad for some peopleand good for others. For those that are not saved, he said it's going to come upon themas a thief in the night, and it's going to be sudden destruction coming upon them, buthe says unto us, we're not in darkness that that day should overtake us as a thief. So,Christ is not coming as a thief in the night
to those that are saved. He is coming as athief in the night to the unsaved. Notice when he says here, that that day should overtakeyou as a thief. Notice, he doesn't say, quot; You're not even going to be here for that day, you'realready going to be gone.quot; He doesn't say that, does heé No. He just says, it's notgoing to take you as a thief because you are of the light. You are awake. You see thiscoming, and we'll get in to that a little bit later, but what I want to point out hereis that the timing of the rapture is the same timing as the timing of the day of the Lord, and the day of the Lord is a major event that the Bible talks a lot about in both the OldTestament and the New Testament.
